A recommendation engine that doesn't take that seriously isn't actually helpful, it's just decoration. Every place in Roamwise's database carries a documented safety and legal-access status, and the questionnaire exists specifically to match you against it — fitness, adventure, ocean comfort, and hiking comfort all shape what gets recommended, and anything closed, illegal, or hazardous is excluded with no exceptions, regardless of what else you ask for.
Why O'ahu first
Roamwise is deliberately narrow for now: O'ahu, built from a real, curated place database rather than scraped listings, aimed at first-time Hawai'i travelers overwhelmed by planning and looking for real confidence in their trip — not a broad, generic travel app trying to cover everywhere at once. The plan is to prove that depth works here before ever going wider.
