Terms of Service — Roamwise

The short version

Roamwise gives you itinerary suggestions built from documented, real information — but conditions on the ground change, and you're responsible for using your own judgment and verifying anything safety- or access-related before you go. Use the product at your own risk, be respectful of the places and access rules it flags, and don't abuse it.

What Roamwise is

Roamwise builds personalized Hawaiʻi trip itineraries — currently for Oʻahu, Maui, and Hawaiʻi Island — from a curated database of real places, matched against the comfort levels, interests, and preferences you provide. It's a planning aid, not a booking service, a tour operator, or a substitute for professional guides, lifeguards, park rangers, or local authorities.

Not a substitute for your own judgment

Every place in Roamwise's database carries a documented safety and legal-access status, and recommendations are filtered against it — but conditions change: weather, surf, trail closures, permit requirements, and legal access can all shift after our information was last researched. Roamwise's safety information reflects what has been documented, not real-time conditions. You are responsible for checking current conditions, closures, and posted signage yourself before any hike, ocean activity, or guided experience, and for turning back or skipping anything that doesn't feel safe once you're there.

Accounts

Signing in uses a one-time email link rather than a password. You're responsible for keeping access to your own email account secure, since anyone with access to your inbox can sign in as you. Let us know at hello@getroamwise.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

Use Roamwise to scrape, republish, or resell the underlying place database.
Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
Use the service for anything illegal, or in a way that endangers yourself or others.

No warranty

Roamwise is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We work to keep the place database accurate and the safety information genuinely documented rather than guessed at, but we don't guarantee that any recommendation, distance, driving time, or piece of safety information is complete, current, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roamwise isn't liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from a decision made using the app — that responsibility stays with you as the traveler.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. If we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
