Surfing Goat Dairy

Kula, Upcountry Maui

Maui's Largest Goat Dairy, With Farm Tours and Cheese Tastings

8.2/ 10
Good to go

Surfing Goat Dairy, at 3651 Omaopio Road in Kula, calls itself Maui's largest commercial dairy and makes goat-milk chocolate truffles and cheeses. It is open Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 5 PM, and closed Sundays and Mondays. Tours run on a set schedule; the daily casual tour (about 30 minutes) is $33 for adults 12 and up and $24 for children 3–11, and includes feeding and petting goats, a taste of fresh cheese and one truffle. A cheese flight tasting is $27, the evening chore and milking tour is $41.50 for adults, and a baby-goat experience runs seasonally from early December.

You don't need to book to shop or taste, but the dairy strongly recommends booking tours online, and tours start on time with no make-up for late arrivals. The site says kamaʻāina rates exist but are honored only in person with proof of residency, and online booking is advertised at 10% off. Cancellation terms were not read.
