Kahe Point, commonly known as Electric Beach, is one of Oʻahu’s most famous snorkeling and
diving locations. Located just north of Ko Olina along the Leeward Coast, this beach is known
for its unusually warm water outflow created by the nearby power plant, which attracts abundant

The name “Electric Beach” comes from the Hawaiian Electric power plant located nearby. The
plant releases warm, clean water offshore through an underwater discharge channel, creating a
unique environment where fish and other marine animals gather.
