Koloa Gulch Trail
Kāne'ohe to Windward / Toward North Shore
Koloa Gulch Trail is a lush rainforest adventure located near Lāʻie on Oʻahu's northeast coast.
The trail follows Koloa Stream deep into a narrow gulch beneath the Koʻolau Mountains,
weaving through dense vegetation, bamboo groves, and rocky streambeds.
Unlike maintained tourist trails such as Mānoa Falls, Koloa Gulch feels remote and wild.
Conditions can change dramatically after rain, and hikers should expect wet feet, muddy terrain,
and frequent navigation decisions.
