Olomana Trail (Three Peaks) — Advanced /
Kailua / Waimanalo
Olomana Trail, commonly called Three Peaks, climbs the dramatic Olomana ridge above
Kailua. The trail is famous for its breathtaking views of Kailua, Kāneʻohe Bay, the Koʻolau
Mountains, and Waimānalo—but it is equally well known for its technical terrain and rescue
history.
Most hikers stop at Peak 1. The traverses to Peak 2 and especially Peak 3 require scrambling,
rope-assisted climbing, and comfort with severe exposure.
Roamwise Recommendation:
🟢 Peak 1: Experienced hikers only
🟠 Peak 2: Advanced hikers only
●
🔴 Peak 3: Expert hikers only

dynamic weather alerts and strong recommendations against attempting the upper peaks
in wet or windy conditions.
