Pūpūkea–Paumalū Forest Reserve Trails
North Shore Oahu
Pūpūkea–Paumalū Forest Reserve sits above the North Shore between Sunset Beach,
ʻEhukai, and Pūpūkea. Unlike traditional point-to-point hikes, this area consists of a maze of
interconnected trails that allow hikers to create routes ranging from short one-mile walks to
challenging full-day loops.
The trail system follows rolling ridges, crosses shallow gulches, and winds through ironwood
forests, eucalyptus groves, and native vegetation. Many of the best viewpoints overlook the
famous North Shore surf breaks below.
Because of the extensive network of junctions, downloading an offline map is strongly
recommended. AllTrails.com
