Waimea Valley Falls Walk
North Shore Oahu
Waimea Valley Falls Walk is one of Oʻahu's most accessible outdoor experiences. The paved
path winds through the sacred Waimea Valley, a historic ahupuaʻa (traditional Hawaiian land
division), before ending at the 45-foot Waimea Falls.
Unlike remote waterfall hikes, this walk is suitable for nearly everyone, including families,
strollers, wheelchairs, and visitors with limited mobility. The experience focuses just as much on
Hawaiian culture, history, and botany as it does on the waterfall itself.
Swimming beneath the falls is often permitted when water quality and conditions allow.
Lifeguards are present, and life jackets are required and provided at no additional cost.
