Ted's Bakery is one of the essential food stops on Oʻahu's North Shore.
The business traces its roots to a family store in Sunset Beach. Ted Nakamura opened Ted's Bakery in 1987, initially selling doughnuts, cornbread, and pastries. By 1996, the bakery had begun wholesaling its cream pies around the island, helping turn its pies into one of Oʻahu's best-known local desserts.
Today, Ted's is much more than a bakery. It serves breakfast, sandwiches, plate lunches, garlic shrimp, pastries, cakes, and its famous cream pies.
